$4, 000 Donated Towards Convent Renovations & New Ushers’ Blazers

The renovation of the chapel in the St. Barbara Convent was just the beginning of a multistage overhaul to bring the building up to code and ultimately create a great space for our St. Barbara family to pray and for our growing service organizations to meet and organize our next big event.

In support of the project, the St. Barbara Holy Name members voted at our last monthly meeting that $3,000 raised from the St. Barbara Auto Show go directly toward funding the renovations. Fr. Arthur is looking into grants that would help fund a majority of the project.

The Holy Name members also voted at their last meeting to donate $1,000 to the Ushers Ministry for their Coordinator Ed Glos  to purchase several new blazers.

Thank you to all of our supporters and members for your hard work! It is your efforts that make donations like this possible!

2nd Annual Auto Show Success

While this is very overdue, we would like to send a big thank you to all of our Holy Name members and their families for the wonderful volunteer support for our 2nd Annual Auto Show. We could not have done it without them and we certainly could not have done it without the amazing support we consistently receive from our local sponsors.

We had fantastic weather that helped us reach nearly 80 cars of every, make, model and era and even a small turnout for motorcycles. The community again came out very strong in support of our auto show and we were excited to see so many smiling faces and the reconnecting of old friends for great food, music, and of course row after row of some of the best classic cars ever made.

We’ll look to do it bigger and better next year!!! Thanks again!

Dinner Dance Success

A big thank you to all of our wonderful guests that attended the Holy Name’s “Always and Forever” Dinner Dance. We had nearly 120 people attend for a night of great food, drinks, music and of course dancing.

One lucky guest even went home with $1,400 from our split-the-pot !!!

Thank you to our “go to” DJ/Host Mark Wrobel from 1st Class Entertainment and to all of our Holy Name and Ladies Guild volunteers.

We hope everyone in attendance had a great time and hope that those who missed out might join us next time!

The profits from the dinner dance will be used to help purchase a new PA system for the school as well as help the cost of running our St. Barbara 2nd Annual Auto Show this August.
